  • 70's TV series WWII

I have strong memories of a series about a family in war-time London (could have been another place in England) that I watched as a kid in Sweden in the late 70's.
I think the credits had a sequence of waves lapping on a beach..?
There was a strong father figure, a young girl that started dating american soldiers and the story was basically the family coping with the war situation. I think there could have been a rich boy that fell in love with the daugher also.
They were always covering their windows and going down to the bomshelte as I recall.

Please help me remember the name of it so I can rent the DVD's.

    Thanks, Kristina

Sounds like A Family At War, I remember it 'cos I had a crush on Barbara Flynn who I think played Freda Ashton (the Ashtons were the family it was centered around)
