In the mid 1970s the Royal British Legion my Dad drunk at ran apro beer based England football team promotion. Basically behind the bar was a roll of self adhesive stickers with the names of England football players on them. A gamecard featured a blank football pitch with the spaces for eleven players' stickers to be added. You selected your team and stuck the stickers in relevant positions. Stickers would obviously be awarded for each pint ordered. I can't rememebr the exact rules, or terms of conditions, however I do remember being given a couple of rolls of unused stickers when the promotion had finished, and sticking STEVE WHITWORTH and COLIN BELL over every imaginable surface! Does any one else recall this?
