  • Looking for a lost song...

I have tried music forums, I have tried decades forums... hell, I even had a video on youtube for quite some time... and still nothing.

I hope people here will be able to help me find this song... the name and Artist.
I am looking for a song... decade... maybe late 70's, or 80's...
Oh, and please don't say it's Roxette, because it's not.
    It's a male singer...

Any help will be much apreciated.

    It goes something like this..

    Song:

    Forever - Backround singers
    I will still Love you
    Forever - Backround singers
    Cause this love is true

    Oh baby can't you see...
That I feel like I'm in Love,
    So listen to your heart
Listen to your heart - Backround singers
    Listen to your Heart

    Chorus
...and listen to your heart - Backround singers
... and no one's gonna stop us now
... and all that I can do - Backround singers
    Is turn and yearn
... and listen to your heart - Backround singers
I feel so happy, please don't go away!

    Forever - Backround singers
    All I want is you
    Forever - Backround singers
    ????

    ???? life (could be fight)
I don't want to let you go
    So listen to your heart
Listen to your heart - Backround singers
    Listen to your heart

    Repeats Chorus
I feel so happy, please don't go away, yeah yeah, yeahhhhhh!

    Instrumental
    (mainly trumpet)

...and listen to your heart, listen to your heart
Listen to your heart, listen toooo your heeeeeeaaaaaart!
    Repeat

    Listen to your heart... (Fades)

Okay just re-read ALL of your post and realised the only questions not answered is Style and nationality?
Sorry about that (must learn to read more carefully! DUH!!!)

Hi Venom... I have no idea about the Nationality, could be British, could be American... but then again could be from anywhere.
But the style of music is the likes of 70's 80's ballads, like: She makes my days, Sealed with a kiss... that genre of music.

So I would guess it's either British or American.

it is so annoying when you cant find a song, i had a similar experience last year and then the song i had spent months searching for came on in a pub i was in, and i managed to get a friend to Shazam it.
Try and give as much info as you can, such as where you originally remember it from, was it a chart hit, was it in a movie/tv show etc, was it on local or national radio, i am sure people can help if there are a few more clues

              yeah, it's very furstrating...

              Ok, a little more info.
I've first heard it on the radio back in around 1990-92... so it could even be an early 90's song... although it sounds more like from previous decades.

The song was usually on the radio during the day, mainly afternoons.
I have never seen it on MTV or anything like that.
Not sure if it ever hit the top 10 charts, as I was oblivious of their existance at that time... being only in my 9-10 years of age.

i will add more as i remeber, but that's all it's coming to mind right now.

Used SoundHound to search it out, but came up with nothing. Loads of hits for those lyrics, but sadly those lyrics are far from original

Re: Looking for a lost song...

Specially with Roxette's song that sounds similar... and I hate it for it.
All the internet comes up with is Roxette, Roxette, Roxette... i used to like that song, untill all I find is it... and now I can't stand it.

The lyrics I have typed are not entirelly accurate though... there could be lots of different words.
I know this might not make any sense, but I think he actually sayes... Listen to your Voice... Like he wants to Listen to her Voice.

I found entries for Little River band, Saga, motorhead, Steve Perry, Paul Anka, Sonia, and loads more, but the lyrics did not match
