Lego Fabuland
I'm quite sure my grandmother spent her pension on two of the house sets for these and my sister when we were children of the 80's as I remember my grandad insisting she take them back (as we hurriedly unwrapped them to ensure they would stay in our possession lolol)!
All the pre-fab buildings were generally yellow (well, the house was anyway) and they came with animal characters such as Bonnie Bunny, Timothy Mouse (?!), an elephant, a lamb, a bulldog amongst many others. You could accessorise too. We started with the (expensive lol) houses and added to with an ice cream parlour (important to kids of course lol), a flower barrow, a postman (the postbox was cool as it came with little flat lego tiles that had letter stuff printed on it).
