    That's sad to hear.

I quite liked Bread, though the later series didn't seem as good as the earlier ones.

I would say the peak was the Xmas special when they all went to Rome.

I was just quite shocked to read this, No way I would have ever thought of her as 50, she looked fab.50 is way to young to die

I loved her as Aveline in Bread and was gutted when they 'head swapped' her, the second actress IMO was no where near as funny, Gilly Coman was made for that role.

      Very sad news indeed.

I was surprised she was a few years older than I assumed, though still really too young.

My brother uses a similar term (head transplanting) to discribe a recasting.

Neighours seemed to do this a lot, Lucy twice, & Cody a whole body & personality transplant.

this is so sad to hear.

she was real good in her role as aveline real funny.

would never have took her for fifty.

          RIP gilly.

            Re: R.I.P Gilly Coman

Sad news. I always thought Melanie Hill's version of Aveline seemed hard and never quite so sweet and vunerable as Gilly's portrayal of her. Loved her in Springhill as well (although I never got to see how it ended).
            RIP Gilly.

              Very sad.
Her Aveline was one the great comedy characters.
When she and Joey (Peter Howitt) were replaced, Bread was never the same again.

I liked the first few series of Bread, even though I didn't probably the full meaning of some of the jokes.
