We always had this on Radio 2 after the top 40 on Radio 1 at 7pm. My dad loved it.
It had the Cliff Adams Singers singing corny old songs for half an hour.

Now wasn't it on just before the Top 40, in about 1984? Because I remember my mum listening to it regularly, and I was hanging around waiting for the Top 40 to start. Then Simon Bates would come on, and the first song would be a new entry by Echo and The Bunnymen or someone else cool, and my mum's face would look like she'd just drunk some castor oil!

Looks like we're both right kaz, looked up on ukpressonline and it was 7pm until the early 80s, when wikipedia confirms it was moved to just before the Top 40, 4.30 on VHF

Cor listening to that took me right back!
I nearly made salmon sandwiches and peaches with sterilised cream accompanied by a slice of angel layer cake! Mmm
