    I know i am quite new here but i thought i would start a new thread in members lounge.
    What is your top 5 bizzare songs,as in when you tell somebody else you like this song they say why?/or never heard of it.

      Ruby,i have only heard of one of those songs but thats the point.
      I have 5 more cause i love these one hit wonders/weird songs

        and some song that starts with : "Some velvet morning when I wake, I'm gonna open uop your gate ...", think it's by Nancy Sinatra. Any light that ye can shed on it would be welcome.

              Ah yes, of course. Thanks. Wasn't swamp thing quite similar ... banjos and stuff? The Who certainly did 'Momma's Got A Sqeeze Box' - used to cover it in a band I was in!

                      Indeed.. "Some Velvet morning" was by Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra..a classic tune!!

                        Telstar was/is one of my all time fave records when i was younger it reminded me of the Marine Boy theme for some reason too. Think the Tornados had afollow up single too.

                          Telstar was number one on the day I was born, lol. Oggy, was Marine Boy the one who used to chew Oxygum to breathe underwater? Sounds familiar!

                              Remember the B Side to Telstar - Jungle Fever?? I loved this track too - I have my parents copy of the 7" single which I treasure..good stuff
