anyone remember it?
in the early 1980`s during my early teens i seem to recall joining it ( im sure it was called that )you had to collect tokens or something or send the a few pence to join in return you got a cheap looking badge and an even cheaper membership card with a plastic sleeve that the card was too wide to fit into
i cant even remember if there was any benefits for joining
it was at the time the daily mirror had an entertainments editor who was a bloke all teeth and long flowing hair looked like the paul whitehouse character from smashy and nicey
also ive a feeling they organised the yearly awards show that eventually morphed into the Brits
