What was this magazine/partwork?

I'm fairly sure it was late 80's and was one of those 'partworks'. It was about 'sports' generally and dt seemed to focus on British sportstars in particular and covered all the usual sports like football, rugby and athletics. It might have even had a few pages for sports like NFL but I'm not sure.

Pages in each issue could be separated and then placed with the appropriate divider inside a ring binder that came with the first issue.
