Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was huge with us kids back in the day, mainly through the original cartoon series, various toys and figures and also the original movies. Recently though I found out the the whole thing started as a series of comic books in the 1980s, from what I have seen it looks quite gritty and dark when compared to the Turtles I grew up with.
I know there are a few people on here who are into their comics so has anybody read any of these or can tell me if they are worth picking up? I'm really loving the artwork I have seen, I like the sketchier, less-polished look it seems to have when compared to the likes of Marvel and DC.
