That Friends show is something I never saw while it was still being made. it must've been aired on some night I was always busy. I had almost the same thing with Seinfeld.... I managed to only see it a couple of times when it was new. Seen both various times as reruns now of course.

There's a channel here that shows old game shows and sometimes they will even pan across the studio audiences. In the '70s shows you will see a lot of women inspired by Farah Fawcett's hair. Later in the '80s there was a Lady Di craze in hairstyles. I remember a young aunt having a curling iron for some of those 'do's but don't remember her being too successful replicating the 'looks'. I got something like Diana a few times myself back then at a stylists. For awhile I used to curl my hair with sponge and steam rollers but it just looses the shape before long and seemed too much bother. It naturally curls a certain amount anyway. I find it strange there are boys and men putting such effort into their hair, seems most today are imitating football players but they come out looking militaristic sometimes in a bad way I think. I prefer people just not do much for a 'do'.

That's a good one. I'm afraid in a few years I would tell the exact words to my barber. But thanks to the lockdown I'm not planning to visit a barber and might get some hair length, by the way I found some haircare tips here. Okay, let me think... Many years ago I had long hair, mohawk, mullet... I guess many people had mullets at that time.

If we are talking about facial hair, I might remedy that fact if I get that shaver for Christmas...

In that case, it would be the hairstyle of a wig then.

I didn't know that there were many different versions of it - when I ask for one, the hairdresser doesn't get confused and ask "which one?" so I have always assumed that there was only one of them.

My late father's hair never went grey, and he never used Just for Men or anything like that - I have to say that it does give me optimism if I ever reach his age.
