I'm not sure if they taste the same, and there's nothing in the bottom now.

          Re: Birds eye supermousse

My mother was stingy, and bought cheap fakes from Iceland which were rubbish.

I assume they were Walls/Lyons maid or Birdseye. any links?

I loved supermousse and it also brings back memories of learning to read, all sitting with our lunch boxes studying the lid and pronouncing it 'mouse' or 'moosee'. French words were completely beyond us. Most of us stuck with moosee.

Super Mousse was a great desert, but one had to wait almost half an hour for it to thaw out, while our mouths watered all that time - my late mother on Sunday afternoons used to put our close to the fire for it to thaw out.

Don't they still sell those in cinemas and theatres?

I am probably thinking of Cornetto or something - those peel-back lids made me think of Super Mousse.
