Thanks Zincubus for the brilliant photographs, i will be considering rhodes as a holiday destination next summer...Anybody else want to share some holiday pix?

The 'real' beauty of Rhodes Town and Lindos for us is the slower paced lifestyle plus the locals actually 'like' us Brits ..

The sea is lovely and warm ( and clean ) as well , fabulous beaches especially the extremely child~friendly ones at Lindos

We also always feel very 'safe' which is so important as a family .
We've never seen any crime / vandals / etc and no screaming /swearing teenagers or DRUNKS !!

FYI there is an App called TouchNote which allows you to create postcards from pix on your mobey

I recall buying postcards with 1950's /1960's glamour models on them from a shop in Scarborough around 50 years ago

And I bet you had a good view as well.

Speaking about beautiful places, it's a pity that postcards have been on the decline in recent years - I believe that everything is said about a beautiful place when seen pictured on a postcard.

We love Lindos in Rhodes and Rhodes town nearly as much ..

We went on a day trip to Rhodes Old Town and it seemed as though someone had picked up a little part of York or Chester and placed it on the coast of a Greek island ..

Looks like a gorgeous place Zinc, never been to Greece but your photos make it look really enticing, the ocean looks like spring water!

We love Lindos in Rhodes and Rhodes town nearly as much ..

I have never left the United Kingdom (I love my country too much), so I will say Cornwall or the north of Scotland.
