Like maths? I didn't.
Each morning our teacher would bark out about 50 times table questions which we had to write down the answers to, then she'd go around the class picking on people to read them out.
If that wasn't enough we had the dreaded Scottish Primary Maths books. We were in England so why we had them I don't know. Red, green, blue, orange and if you were really brainy you made it on to the purple. I've never got over long multiplications and long divisions. Couldn't do one now with all that carrying over and dropping down 0s business. Thank goodness for 50p calculators.
