the ones i remember my dad having are a ford cpri and the legendary lada.

getting drove to school in a lada i was.

First one I remember my Dad having is a Cortina super.
Then I recall an Avenger and a Triumph 1500.
My Uncle had a Vauxhall Viva and then an Austin Princess.
I hated getting a lift in the Princess. It looked like a metal wedge.

My dad had the exact same Rover 2000 also in brown. My hippy of a mother had a mini with Mary Quant flowers all over it.

Thought it would be nice to start a thread about cars we remember from childhood - specifically ones owned by parents. None of the pictures here are of the originals - but they are the same cars!

My Dad had three cars that I remember - A black Ford Zephyr with a green leather front bench seat and a stick shift gear lever - Loved this car !





We then got a blue Hillman Avenger (a bit of a come down!!). Top speed unknown!



The last car he had was a Rover P6 2000 in brown...



I loved this one too!

Great days out, especially in the Zephyr, sliding all over the front seats because seatbelts were not the law and sticking to the leather seats when wearing shorts in the summer heat.
