In the US back in the '80s you could find them in every used car lot. Now they're going for big money and are being shipped to collectors in Europe.

Even Mk3 Escorts from the early 1980s are selling for thousands now. In the early 2000s you couldn't even give them away.

I used to trade cars in the early 90s and remember giving a lad £50 trade in for his wreck of a (genuine) Mexico against a car he bought off me.
I then rang the scrappers and they dragged it away. If only you could go back and put some away for the future.

Am I right in thinking the silver/grey Jensen is an Interceptor, whereas the black one is an FF?

Yeah - FF has two vents in the front wing, Interceptor has one.
FF is physically longer too but you can't spot it as easily.

In the back of one of those picks I think there's a Triumph Acclaim!
One thing that irks me a little is that how many classics are restored as race or rally cars or customised somehow. There appears to be few of what I would call 'driveway' cars.
