My local B&Q play abysmal cover versions of popular songs from the last 4 decades. There's nothing more depressing than hearing a version of Starship's 'We built this City' that sounds as if it was being recorded by some, bored, out-of-work cruise ship musicians in a studio unit on a windswept industrial estate on the outskirts of Swindon when trying to find a correct size abrasive sheet for your orbital sander....

Rocking around the xmas tree is popular here too sorry but I cannot stand xmas songs I get really grumpy hearing them.Give us a break please no more xmas songs they are so annoying dont need them

Last night doing my weekly shopping I was quite calm until I heard the xmas pop songs,then my stress levels went up

I must be feeling old if I cant stand hearing xmas songs anymore

Talk about grumpy old xmas lol

6 weeks to go far to yearly to be playing these

I know the feeling as that time of the year approaches. I swear, these are the only TWO songs they seem to play during the Christmas season out here.

I was in a local Wilkinsons a few years back when I heard a familiar tune.
It was Foreigner Suite by Cat Stevens, but it wasn't the original.
It was a cheesy supermarket muzak cover version, which to some would be pure horror.
But I happen to personally enjoy a bit of it, so I hung around until the track ended.
Now I just wish that I spoke to the manager about it, I would absolutely love a copy.
I've looked around the web with no joy, hopefully it will turn up somewhere.

yea they be on every where soon radio shops tv
i was in tesco the other day and it was on in there

I wont be putting on the radio until 2014 and in the car I will be playing cds instead,as for shopping well cotton wool in ears I suppose

Today whilst in Argos grabbing me a deal they played The Darkness - Don't Let The Bells End. We've not even had halloween yet!

my son came in from HMV and he had heard a 'fantastic' song - when we finally got it sorted it was Dont leave me this way - communards - he was impressed that I knew it (my fave song) and then text his mate and put it on his ipod!
