No, that doesn't sit comfortably with me for some reason. I have done a few for family members who have them up

Bob ross is my biggest influence along with his tutor Bill alexander who has the same technique. Bob uses a pallette knife to create mountains ...Thanks for the kind words Danniella

Wow ...the snow covered mountains are magnificent !

That is seriously beautiful and if it was on sale at IKEA I’d be walking home with it under my arm !!

If I’d painted that I’d probably just retire satisfied.

Stunning pics tex! I love art and recently discovered Bob Ross on YouTube, he was an artist, he actually used a plastic blade to create mountains on his canvas, i was amazed.
Your pics are just as good as his.

Hi Tex, they haven't been taken down, can you check to see if you can still see them where you store your thumbnails/attachments?

On further investigation it looks like all attachments are down...i will report it

L S Lowry.....Bit of a marmite artist who lived in Salford, his paintings now sell for big money but alas like many great artists he died before he saw any of it. He was famous for painting Manchesters industrial landscape and of course his matchstalk men. Many would say his art was childlike and in a way it was but he always maintained that the way he painted was how he saw things. Art is of course subjective and we all see different things in paintings that others might not. I have copied a few of Lowrys paintings just for fun.
I have avoided doing any of his more intricate industrial work as they are just too involved and would take forever to re-create
