I was very enthusiastic on this site about ten years ago, however I find myself with very little time now to reminisce. I pop back every few months to read the posts and see if any old memories surface

I do think that a novelty aspect happens when most people join the forum, and it's when the novelty goes that people get less interested and post less frequently.

I often feel a bit guilty when I bump up a thread which was last used many years before I joined here, but at least I don't curse myself for not joining many years before I did - I always search in the search engine to make sure that something similar to what I have in mind hasn't already been started, and usually, my ideas are unique and so I start a thread about it.

In the first few days that I joined, I bumped up so many threads and just added my comment as if I was around a lot longer than I really was!

I normally look about 2 times a day, but only contribute to current threads or create a new one if I have an idea for one that I don't think has been mentioned before.
