Blackstar was an action figure line produced by Galoob in 1983. It was based on the Filmation cartoon of the same name that was aired in 1981 in which John Blackstar, an astronaut, flew through a black hole, crashed and ended up stranded on the planet Sagar and is befriended by the Trobbits - a race of gnome people. There were three different series of Blackstar figures released in consecutive years from 1983. Figures either came with Trobbits or Demons or on their own. In 1984 the second series of Blackstar action figures were released. These were basically formed on the original series although these also had a "laser light".
