The Johnny Seven One Man Army Gun, or OMA Gun was just about the biggest toy machine gun you could get. In fact it wasn't far off full size!This gun had loads of gadgets and featured a grenade launcher, anti-tank missile, armor-piercing shell and anti-bunker missile as well as being a rifle, machine gun and pistol all at the same time (the pistol bit was detachable and functioned as a cap gun).When it comes to toy guns, this had to be one of the best ever.The Johnny Seven Gun was ranked one of the best selling toys of 1964 and there was plenty to be getting on with thanks to the fact that it encompassed seven guns in one. You could use the gun as a grenade launcher, anti-tank rocket launcher, anti bunker missile launcher, armour piercing shell, slide bolt action machine gun, a rifle that fired ten bullets and a detachable cap pistol that fired shells. Johnny Seven O.M.A was released by Deluxe Reading under their Topper Toys toyline. If you wanted to go the whole hog you could also buy accessories to enhance the Johnny Seven experience including a helmet and walkie-talkies.
