With Sesame Street being such a huge presence in kids' lives even today, it's hardly surprising that there was tons of merchandise as a result. The Sesame Street Playmates were cuddly, soft, brightly coloured versions of the main characters from the TV programme. These included: Bert, Ernie, Elmo, Big Bird, Grover and Oscar The Grouch.
