This was a kids' TV drama shown on the BBC circa 1975, based on the book A Pair Of Jesus Boots by Sylvia Sherry. It was set in the grim hard times of 1970s Liverpool and featured a boy called Rocky, who was from a dysfunctional home, and his scally mates. He's a bit of a cheeky young rogue looking for a father figure to prevent him going off the rails, and this is provided in the shape of a man who points out the error of his ways.
