I wonder, does ANYBODY (APART FROM 8-BIT ENTHUSIAST) these days spend a few hours (or more) over a few nights a week with some food and a few cans of lager sat in front of a computer to knock up a game compared how games are now:-
Hollywood sized budgets
several people working on one game
years/months in development
only for the game to be a load of **** and bost 20-40 quid compared to the 80s when all it cost was a enough for a few take aways and cans of lager?
I myself write stuff that'd be good as a DOOM/BLOOD style game but neither have the money, time and talent to do so.
