80s arcades were my happy place. I still play those games often now thanks to emulation.

Not bad at Centipede & Tempest. pretty good at Mr Do. Can get off one or two Pacman screens but not my favorite to play

I ruled a Tempest machine in the early '80s, but it and Asteroids were the only ones I was any good at. I was terrible at Centipede, Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man (especially bad at that last one). There was a game named Gorf I would play just to hear the aliens in it speak their weird language. I never really saw a full blown arcade outside of a trip to Reno, Nevada where the Circus Circus casino had a huge one. We would have no more than three machines in one place, usually at the backs of shops.

Arcade memories from the 80s
Anyone one else have fun (or not) memories from inhabiting an 80s arcade. I remember the thrill of the lights and the excitement of the sound and eventual play. I also remember the disappointment of wandering round and round till the big kids got off of the best games. LolTags: None
