I never really saw this film as in the horror genre. I think it may have been considered a horror film more because Victor Price starred in it. But I saw it more as a psychological drama and there was one sequence where he takes Jane Asher through a series of full colour rooms. Each room was a total single colour with all the decor and artefacts in the same colour. So there was a yellow room, and a red room and I think a black room. I always felt that if I had a house where this was practical, that I too would create a sequence of rooms each in a single total colour.
