For some reason this film had a big effect on me , I think it's cos I was a young apprentice down the coal mine when I first saw it and I often got sent on errands for the tradesmen
Main walkway was a fair hike but there was a shortcut down a minor air tunnel , however at the other end was an abandoned hydraulic roof support with a big canti-lever arm ; and I'm still conviced it used to watch me going past and wait for its chance!

I never ,ever, ever turned my back on it for years
