Really need help!

There's a TV show I remember, kids sci-fi series, live action, involving a kid from the future switching places with an identical twin/doppelgänger in the past. That is the largest part I remember, other than the fact that the present was presented in natural tones, while the future had darker scenery (like that of Ice Pirates) and featured the cast in the future wearing outfits with blue lines...i think. I used to believe it was an Australian show, but I'm no longer sure (after searching through Wiki's list of Australian, New Zealand and Canadian shows). Does anyone remember a show like this? It was on around the late 80's/early 90's. I know I watched it before Spellbinder was on TV.

Any help with finding the name to this show would be greatly appreciated.
