Russian 70's/80's kids series.

Right then, now that I obviously have your attention with with the catchy thread title.......does anyone remember a Russian, black and white series from the late70's morning summer hols type thing. I remember the the lad being a "leader" in some way having to take care of younger kids and buying them ice creams with money his dad sent back from "work" in Siberia.
