I watched a film on channel 4 sometime between september 91 and june 92, it would have been in the afternoon, not one of their late night slots.
Essentially I can only remember "the reveal" which was a man watching a slideshow of a woman sitting on a bench. As the slideshow progresses we can see that the woman notices that she's having her picture taken (revealing the man to be her stalker), she runs across a road towards the photographer and is hit by a car. The man rewinds the slideshow to where the woman is sitting, he pulls up a chair and sits beside her. The film ends.
I can literally tell you no more about it, definitely subtitled, but unsure of language (most likely european, I would guess.) Running time would be sub 1 hour, and most likley about 30 mins.
