Weird long banana heads on wheels on mars.

When I was younger, in the mid 90s there used to be this really really weird thing on tv in england. They had these weird creatures which had really weird long heads that were too heavy for them to hold up so they had some special wheel chair thing to hold their heads. I think they were on mars or in some desert. I really want to know what it was called or at least if anyone else remembers this as well.
