early 70's foreign children's series

hi - not much to go on. A series. I think it was Danish possibly Swedish. 1971?. on after school. I recall a lot of children making some kind of community out of bits of old wood and junk. subtitled I think. not magical or mysterious, more social - gangs and groups of kids.
we only had bbc1 and border , possibly Granada.
they wouldnt subtitle now for kids which is a shame.
any ideas? ta in advance.
