My Gran was a deputy headmistress until 1976 when she retired. She used to give badly behaved kids the slipper. Fortunately I didn't go to the school she worked at!

I remember the Peter and Jane books, and being made to read them to my Mum.

Peter did exciting things with Dad, and Jane stayed home to bake with Mum,,,, Times have changed for the better!

Remember Scholl clogs in the 70s? I nagged my Mum endlessly for them as a girl, bought some when they appeared back in fashion again twenty years ago, and have a new pair waiting for the summer sun.
