Hamlet Cigar ad

The hamlet cigars ad with the bald guy who had a few strands of hair combed over his head , hes in a photo booth and just as it flashes , the hair falls over his face so he lights a cigar, there was a load of different ones , always to the same music, can anyone remember any more?

Do you remember the charley says ads, the one where the kid is trying to tell mum where they are going but shes on the phone. And there was either coke or pepsi ad with just words on the screen to music, cant remember the words but i know it had lip smackin thirst quenchin in it.

i remember the Hamlet one, and I went on to work with a bloke, with hair just like him but the best one has to be where frankensteins monster, wakes up. looks under the blanket and see's he's got a little bit missing.

That's right. Was just reading a comment on youtube that said exactly that. I remember another one where he was in the outdoor WC and a little puppy runs off with the roll of paper.

I know this isn't as old, but my absolute favourite advert type things of all time were the ones they used to show, I think it was ITV before and after the break in a film and I think it was sponsored by toyota and had the two goldfish doing the film impressions!! I used to watch the films just for those bits lol! I haven't had chance to look at the links, but wasn't the baldy guy in the hamlet advert the guy who plays rab c nesbit?

Yep, played by Gregor Fisher - was originally from the TV show Naked Video, which was a hilarious sketch show from the mid 80's, with other classic characters like Siadwell the depressed poet, The Outer Hebrides Broadcasting Corporation, the drunk sloan ranger and of course, Rab C Nesbitt.

Series 1, 2 & 3 already released on DVD if you fancy a nostalgic laugh

Hamlet Cigars ad

Used to love the Rab Nesbitt advert for Hamlet cigars. His hair was just placed over his bald head - we found a vhs video with this advert on - magic.

The one with the 1980's Channel 4 logo turning into a 5 & then a smoking face was very funny.

Gregor Fisher is great. I was a fan of Naked Video, Rab C Nesbitt and the Hamlet cigar ad. Also like Tony Roper who was in Naked Video and then became Rab's Irn Bru-swilling side kick Jamesie.
