when i was a child my dad was a pipe smoker and he sometimes smoked cherry tobacco.......have to say it smelt lovely

Fresh pipe tobacco can smell rather nice.My headteacher in primary school used to smoke a pipe and rarely had it out of his mouth.I would not be surprised if most of the word tins we used to get for homework were his as he was a really heavy smoker.Still see him around town and he must easily be in his 80's now.My main memory was the smell of the tobacco still clinging to the tins when they were opened up to get the words out.
