Children's TV show, fighting robots, probably early 00's.

Hi guys,

I have a memory of watching this TV show when I was younger, I would guess sometime around the early 00's? I can't remember what channel it was on but I think it was on relatively late. The show consisted of 2 teams of characters, who would fight and do challenges using mech - suits. It's probably worth mentioning that it was a cgi show - not a cartoon. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it, although I have the name "Metal Gear" in my head, although that might just be something random that for some reason my brain associates with the show. I've tried Googling it but the only results that show are Metal Gear Solid which it obviously isn't.

I've found it!

It was called "Heavy Gear" not "Metal Gear" and was aired 2001-2003. It was based on a "Gaming Universe" created in 1995 by "Dream Pod 9" which included a table top tactical war game, a role playing game and a trading card game.
