  • Forgotten Film

Hi I'm new to this forum and been trying to find the name of a film for years. It was either late 70s or really early 80s and I think was an American or Canadian film. It featured I think a group of kids and either a Fijian or Hawaiian man who used to eat these candy bars that made him get fatter. A few seconds after eating them you heard an onscreen boooiiinnnng and he went high and a bit stupid, not sure if it was a detective type movie that was made for kids and they always showed it during the school holidays. The Fijian or Hawaiian guy I mentioned always seemed to have his top off and wore some sort of sarong. It would be great if anyone else remembers this such movie.
    Thanks

No neither of those, the adult character I mentioned had a big afro hair style, and the kids who befriended him would of been around 12 years of age.
