    Re: 1980s science fiction

Was it about Astral Projection rather then teleporting maybe? - I remember there were a few films about that at the time.
  4. Re: What Were Your Best Holidays As A Kid or Growing Up

Had lots of trips around Lincs coast as a kid in the 70s. A few random memories:

    - Those bubble-gum type machines that had tiny joke books in them that would fall apart very quickly

    - Tiny...

  7. Re: What Is The World's Worst Film You Have Ever Seen ?

    Oops! - my mistake.

As you say, many of the films are nothing like the books. Moonraker is a good example and the Spy Who Loved Me is another obvious one - completely different. I did like Mr...

Timothy Dalton was a big disappointment for sure and agree on the Pierce Brosnan ones but I think the only stinker Roger Moore did was For Your Eyes Only.

    Game Secrets and Easter Eggs

Anyone have any favourites on the older games?

I remember a cheat in Kung Fu Master where you could get your character to draw a gun and shoot the enemies instead of kicking/punching.

    There was...

    I think Duel is great!

You are SO right on Blues Brothers 2000 though.

I bought the missus Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie when it came out on dvd and watched it with her. Now that's a bad film.

    Re: Identify sea-based cartoon

    Roger the cabin boy!!

No, I'm afraid not. I get the feeling this was more of a one-off than a series.

Thanks for reply though - what can be obvious to one person can be a mystery to others!

    Re: RIP Clive Cussler

Weird how he put himself in his books as a minor character (at least in the ones I read) - bit like Hitchcock in his films I guess.

    Identify sea-based cartoon

This is a really vague one, but trying to find a cartoon (prob 5 min job) involving a simple ship (maybe 2D) with possibly 3 sailors, one of which is the Captain who shouts the order 'Full sail!'...

    Re: Putting the clocks back

Isn't it still an unwritten rule that if you don't have Halloween decor out, the kids are not supposed to come knocking?

    Re: Door To Door Sales

I remember about 20 years ago we were living at the edge of a village and now and again out of nowhere you'd get this knock on the door.

It would be an expressionless man who would say in slow,...

    Re: Any gamers here?

I went C64 to Amiga to PC from about 1982, so had a similar background and still play some modern stuff - I tend to go for the indie games instead of the AAA stuff.
