    Was it The New Schmoo?

Or Fonzie and the Happy Days Gang?

Not sure about the music, but could it be George and Mildred? Or 'Til Death Us Do Part?

Re: What was this old BBC Kids program?

Could it have been The Book Tower?
  5. Re: Political correctness to a ludicrous degree

What makes you think the series was "airbrushed out of history" due to "political correctness"?
  6. Re: Can you identify these 70s + 80s kids programmes?

Number 3 turned out to be Stainless Steel and the Star Spies. I bought it on DVD - it's nowhere near as it good as it seemed at the time! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX2YtKZyWsI

    Still no luck...
  7. Re: Girl in mirror, paint on gravestone, creepy church - supernatural children's seri

No memory of that, and I've never seen this thread before, but I've just watched Snap, and it's great! Really spooky.

Re: Songs That Sound Alike or Similar

I recently heard 'Undertow' by Warpaint. I can't believe they wrote it, recorded it and, presumably perform it all the time, and have never noticed it's basically got the same melody and chords as...
  9. Re: Name of 80's kids tv prog on at lunchtimes?

The sand box town sounds like Potty Time with Michael Bentine.
  10. Re: Looking for name of children's show, 1989-92, possibly obscure

Can you provide any more detail? What do the girl and the bad guy look like? What does the flashing thing look like?

From this description it sounds vaguely like Children of the Dog Star or Dark...

Re: Early 90s Scary Puppet Show

Actually it also sounds a bit like Dr. Snuggles.

But you're probably never coming back so I'll stop replying!
  12. Re: Can't remember the name of this show

That sounds like the kind of thing that might have happened in The Moomins. That was stop-motion animated with felt puppets.

Re: Early 90s Scary Puppet Show

It's not a puppet show but that sounds like Jamie and the Magic Torch. The short putppet could be Wordsworth the dog and the winding road could be the helter skelter they travelled down after jumping...

    Re: Help Identify Early-90's Cartoon

Captain Planet? Never saw it but it definitely had an environmental theme.
  18. Re: Strange 1970/80s psychedleic UK animation

The music was used as the theme tune to Hospital Watch in the 90s. Other than that it was shown on TOTP quite a few times.

    Re: Ink Bolt character books

Do you mean The Blobs? I think I had one book (possibly 'Fizzy Orange'). The ghost was Ghostly White. Apparently there was a TV series in the 90s with Jane Horrocks.

Monster Cafe? The main 'monster' was a young woman.
