Re: Things to do before we die

    Give up the 'rat race.'
You work for 40+ years and pay into a pension, only to live 10 years in retirement if you're lucky

Re: Starsky and Hutch or the Professionals ?

Oh please, Starsky and Hutch was funky and watchable. As for Gordon Jackson, he'd always be drinking that malt Scotch Whisky. I need to taste that drink to find out what he saw in it

    Re: Door To Door Sales

In the early 70s I knew of a man (a distant relative of mine) who use to sell material/clothing in a suitcase.
Soon after he opened a string of shops and became a millionaire.

    Re: Only Fools And Horses.

The best episode must be 'A Touch of Glass.'
They visit a stately home to clean some chandeliers.
If I can recall there was even a documentary about the episode.

Re: Eccentric scheduling of TV programmes

I recall watch Batman (starring Adam West) on TV am, aired on ITV in 1987. I think it had an 8 am slot.
    It was very popular

    Re: Doctor sleep

Last year I read The a shining again prior to reading Dr Sleep. The book is no way close to the brilliance of The Shining. I just hope that the film lives up to the original film.

Use to like Jaclyn Smith in Charles Angels.
I think she was considered the most beautiful woman in the world scientifically.

The digital watch was silver grey, LCD. Functions included time, alarm and stopwatch. The solar panels were at the top of the display. I think it was a casino watch.

    Re: Let's Carry On.

Not sure. But it is the scene where she pushes him onto the bed and as she falls on top of him his head strikes her nose, at which point she grins. It was a mistake but was not edited out.

    Re: Let's Carry On.

    It is Carry on Doctor.
The scene appears on the 82 minute point of the film where Hattie Jacques tries to seduce Kenneth Williams.
