    Re: McDonald's

Indeed - it is regarded to be rude if one talks when eating, but then again, how does one say that something is delicious or horrible when they eat the food? - I bet that not many of our famous food...

    Re: McDonald's

Most McDonald's are run under separate franchises, so perhaps if you went to a different branch, the food might have been a bit better? I can't really explain, but there is a bit of difference...

    Re: McDonald's

I found it interesting that Rutland (the Cheshire of the East Midlands) happens to be the only county in England that does not have a McDonald's, although I often think of Rutland as part of...

    Re: McDonald's

Now that is a double treat - attending McDonald's after a hospital appointment - that is, unless one has visited the hospital for a diet related health complaint which meant that one could not have...

    Re: McDonald's

You're right Richard - the Milton Street one in Nottingham was a Wimpy and became a Burger King, even though I thought that they were unconnected (apart from the fact that they were both fast food...

    Re: McDonald's

I am surprised about that as I thought that by the mid 1980s every city and most towns had at least one McDonald's - I know from reading the McSpotlight website that they advertised on British TV...

    Re: McDonald's

When I first heard of Fillet O'Fish I actually thought that they were trying to monopolise on the Irish O' surname prefix just like they have obviously done so with the Mc prefix.

    Mind you, isn't...

    Re: McDonald's

I know what you mean. The illustrations of the Big Macs and hamburgers look immaculate, yet most customers are served something that looks squashed or stodgy and bares very little resemblance to what...
