  1. Re: RIP David Bellamy - TV presenter and botanist

I enjoyed watching the shows that David Bellamy presented. There was so much enthusiasm in his discussions.
Incidently, Lenny Henry use to do a fantastic impersonation of David Bellamy. I think it...
  2. Re: Help! A show about a boy discovering Roman artefacts in a portal.....

    I vaguely recall the show.
It was called 'The Clifton House Mystery.'

But the show that I really enjoyed was the childrens' show called Nobody's House, which was aired in 1976.

I meant if shoppers go out and purchase the item rather than having it delivered then you burn more calories.
  4. Re: Ford Capri's at the ready! The Professionals come to the Big Screen!

I would only be keen to watch it if they can emulate the late 70s, just like the series Life on Mars, aired in 2006.

Bought a phone for my wife at 129 three weeks ago. I saw it advertised yesterday at a Black Friday price of 169.
    So much for Black Friday.
Never purchased on that date and never will.

    Give up the 'rat race.'
You work for 40+ years and pay into a pension, only to live 10 years in retirement if you're lucky

Re: Starsky and Hutch or the Professionals ?

Oh please, Starsky and Hutch was funky and watchable. As for Gordon Jackson, he'd always be drinking that malt Scotch Whisky. I need to taste that drink to find out what he saw in it

    Re: Door To Door Sales

In the early 70s I knew of a man (a distant relative of mine) who use to sell material/clothing in a suitcase.
Soon after he opened a string of shops and became a millionaire.

The best episode must be 'A Touch of Glass.'
They visit a stately home to clean some chandeliers.
If I can recall there was even a documentary about the episode.
