Two Tribes, with Chris Barrie doing Reagan's voice.
'First Picture of You', Lotus Eaters (gorgeous guitar break in the middle).
I'll probably think of more, but those two instantly come to mind, where I *have* to listen to the full 12 inch version, the 'short' one on the radio just gets me annoyed lol.

Good call, with the dramatic intro, way more dramatic than the puny radio edit.

Sweet Talkin' Woman... ELO , because of the cover, (the spaceship) and the purple coloured vinyl
Lawnchairs.... Our Daughters Wedding, because it annoyed my mates and its the longer version than the 7"
Lavender Blue ... Marillion, because its a long version of great song with Freaks on there as well, also a Cracking picture disc
Down in the park... Tubeway Army , because its a quality track and its worth a little bit now !!

                    Re: fave 12" single

I've got many of those, but on CD though.

By the time I got into buying singles only Dance tracks seemed to be released on 12", & as I didn't have good spending power I tended to buy albums so didn't get many CD singles either.

In retrospect, Bros were okay. I played I Owe You Nothing on tonight's show and it actually sounds pretty good pop compared to the NDubz of today, yet they were reviled back in the day by serious music critics. You get saddled with the 'teen act' label and it's pretty hard to build a long career, no matter how good you are.

I agree. Bros were quite good. I saw them live and Matt Goss had a great voice. The 'Illegal Mix' of I Owe You Nothing & When Will I Be Famous are fantastic. Full of samples from films, TV and other music. They are on a double A side white label promo 12". I luckily have a copy. Also the 'Art Mix' of Drop The Boy is much funkier than the regular 12" mix.
Also Shep Pettibone is one of my favorite remix producers. His mixes are nothing short of genius IMO.
