  • London Grill

Can anyone else remember Heinz London Grill. It was in a tin and consisted of baked beans, sausage, bacon & kidney in tomato sauce. Lovely on toast!! Not seen it in years and for some strange reason it was in a dream of mine last night! Pics would be great of the old 70's & 80's cans.
    Heaven knows I'm miserable now.

If you read the comments someone has tin tin with a best before date of 2004 perhaps that was the last batch to be made?

Maybe. I loved it when I was a kid in the 70's. Best on toast for supper on a Sunday night before that's life!! Life was so sweet!!

I rememer a few year ago there seemed to be a few "meals in a tin" around, someone my sister knew at university was given a tinned fry-up as a joke present.

You can get 'all day breakfasts' in tins so that qualifies as London Grill really....I'm sure Sainsburys do them still and its probably Heinz that makes em!

If it will save me cooking with multiple pans, then count me in? I give in..................................

All day breakfast in a tin is nothing like London Grill!! It tastes totally different as there is no kidney in the all day breakfast.

These are similar to London Grill, but without kidney in both cases.

Asda also stock Toast Toppers, which were mentioned a while ago.

I am certain that London Grill had made a comeback in the 2010s and that Tesco has sold it.
