  • Cheap 1980s Lager

Late 80s the 4 pack of choice for the party-goer with little money was either FALCON lager or SKONA lager. I believe they were only available from Bejams/Iceland and were the cheapest cans you could buy at that time.

Do Kestrel & Lamont fit in to this catagory?

My Gran used to keep some cans of 2.5% Tesco Lager (I called it cooking lager) at her caravan in case any visitors wanted a beer when staying there.

When my brother was old enough my parents alowed him to have some.

Just by chance my Dad had brought along some better quality beer in almost the same colour cans, which by brother didn't notice & accidently drank some of my Dad's, who wasn't amused.
