we use to use 'eggy' in school, or 'eggggggggeeeeeeeee' depending on how much you wanted to annoy the other person. it was used for when they got angry about something if you were winding them up

I remember saying that, also "Chin Rub" meant the same thing, that you were a bit skeptical of what someone was telling you.

Did anyone ever slap people on the forehead and say "Spam"?

For a short time in the 80's "bad" meant "good". Nowadays it seems to have been superceeded by "sick", which incidently gets on my t*ts when I hear kids saying it.

"Pure" had a wierd meaning. If for example you had a lot of something i.e. computer games etc... you'd say "Whoa, you've got pure computer games" meaning "Whoa, you've got loads of computer games".

in the 70's round our way if we were going to someones house or area we'd say " i'm going down their Joint"

also the word "hellish" in north east england means excellent or very good unlike other parts of the country where it means the complete opposite. i remember visiting my mate at edinbrough university in the mid 90's, when asked by the scots what i thought of scotland my response "Scotland is Hellish" did not go down well

                      Hi Huggie
Was it "on the barrow - or on the barra" meant that you said something then denied it ?

also we had "sound as a pound" - used to say
                      "sound as a pound
that i found on the ground
on the ground I found a pound
                      so sound"

                      sad but true !

Sweg - was another word - for a little round chap

lergy - was someone who was on in a game or was smelly or horrible

Gay - didn't mean lame as now but homosexual

Johnny - well I'll leave that with you - private msg if ur not sure

I'm sure mor will come back to me...........
