Sooty Alien Chestburster Spoof Advert

Does anyone remember an advert with Sooty where he parodies the 'chestburster' scene in Alien, I think it may be for either Pontins or Butlins but may be wrong. The advert is a montage and their is a group of people at a table and a guy starts coughing up confetti then Sooty bursts out his chest in a shower of confetti. Then Sooty runs off and everyone leans into the screen and waves him off

I may be wrong and it may be a comedy sketch but for some reason a holiday resort advert seems to trigger a memory

Thats pretty disgusting - especially when you've seen Alien. Speaking of which, Ridley Scott never told any of the other actors in the infamous scene of what was going to happen to John Hurts character i.e. the actual chest bursting - he did tell them simply that something would 'happen' and to 'go with it' so the reactions and shock you see is for real...

anyhow, as for sooty, does anyone remember the April Fools they did on This Morning or something like that when Sue came on to announce she was pregnat, then went into labour on live tv, it was well funny when Matthew C 'pulled out' 2 small Panda babies (small teddies)

I decided to ask someone with a better memory than me i.e my dad

he said that it wasnt an advert but a sketch on a comedy show in the 80s 'french and saunders' 'not the nine o'clock news' era so I youtubed it and found out it was on the three of a kind sketch show with Lenny Henry, Tracey Ullman and David Copperfield. Its 8mins 22 secs, its funny how you're memory plays tricks on you because Im sure I can remember Sooty bursting out with glitter

One of the comments on the Nik Naks advert on you tube mentions the sooty chestburster advert as being a Pontins advert but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

At least I know I didnt imagine it, the sketch and the advert merged together in my memory. Just need to find the advert now

Sorry but I'm 45 and I remember that it was an advertisement voiced over by Dawn French for Pontins. A pity that I cannot find it on YouTube. Very funny at the time.

The Sooty chestbursting was actually done by Lenny Henry, Tracy Ullman and David Copperfield on the 80s show Three of a Kind

One of my favourite scenes of the show, I remember all my mates doing it at school the next day!

You're probably thinking Butlins or Pontins because thats pretty much where David Copperfields career went after this!
