  • does anyone remember a beach opposite tower bridge

    someone brought this up the other day in a conversation according to them it was a beach made by tonnes of sand brought in by barges some time in the 1930`s people used to paddle and swim in the thames and they had deck chairs and punch and judy shows there apparently it was there untill the 1970`s .i had no knowledge of this and thought it was a wind up

      No personal knowledge but I have seen a photo of this beach before with people sitting in deck chairs.
