Yes they do. The children at my school are given a small cardboard box to keep the words they take home to learn in.

But what the hell is a child expected to do with an empty tobacco tin?

I used to have a few of these, mostly the orange and white "Old Holborn" tins. On one occasion I remember collecting a few earth worms and keeping them in the tin. Unfortunately I forgot about them and many weeks later, found the tin and opened it to be greeted by a congealed mess and the most evil stench I have ever encountered. It was enough to send me racing to the loo and retching for some considerable time as I flushed the contents away.

My Dad bought me Battle Action Force comics, or Victor when he couldn't find it, He then used to buy me Action Force comic and then when it merged with Transformers he started buying me that. I had a massive collection once but traded it with a dealer I know for loads of Action Force toys around 2004, he still has many of the old comics I swopped with him to this day in his shop...lol.

I remember my dad collecting some of the Esso World Cup 1970 coins for me, but I don't know what happened to them.
