Ok so that's 11 off the top of my head. No doubt I'll think of several more.

A lot of people have put Bon Scott. Brilliant singer but nowhere near the range of any of the above. He's more a front man than a singer. Haha that'll get everyone arguing !

Suzi Quatro every time for me. She even starred in Happy Days as a rocker who Joanie Cunningham wanted to go around with, inspired by cool dude Fonzie

I saw Suzi at Gloucester Leisure Centre in '78. I had to escape from the adolescent residential unit to see her as I was in pyjama's, my clothes being confiscated after running away a few days prior

Andy Cardinal (you know who you are lol) leant me his jeans & T-Shirt (valuable as it was a Van Halen T-shirt lol)

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

No particular order..and some whose bands i'm not keen on but acknowledge they are great singers

Bon Scott (AC/DC died with him IMHO, can't stand Brian Johnson's screeching. Yes, he was a great frontman as PW said, but I do love his voice and his lyrics were fantastic too)
    Paul Rodgers
    Chris Cornell
    Jim Morrison
    Ronnie James Dio
    Ann Wilson
    Rod Stewart
    Steve Tyler
    Mike Patton
    Steve Perry

Agreed and neither can I. The band have had bad press/news over the last year or so, perhaps it's time they called it a day ?

    In their primes;

    1 Ronnie James Dio
    2 Steve Perry
    3 Phil Mogg
4 Bruce Dickinson (never great live, but excellent when controlled in the studio environment)
5 Phil Lynott (opposite of Dickinson - you can't tell the difference between studio and live performances)
6 Robin McCauley (Grand Prix, Micky Schenker, Far Corporation - probably my most obscure suggestion)
    7 Paul Stanley
    8 Geddy Lee
    9 Freddy Mercury
    10 Paul Rogers

Honourable mention for Bono though it pains me to admit it because I loathe his band. On the first three or four albums, though, he was exceptional.

Numbers 2-10 could probably appear in any order depending on my mood. Ronnie's always #1, though.
There is no beauty here, just the stench of wine and beer.

Got to add Suzi Quatro, Chrissie Hynde and Wanda Jackson to that list. There were some great women rock singers
